Gordon G. Oldham, IV was born and raised in Leesburg, Florida, a small town just outside Orlando. He is a fifth generation Floridian and attended Leesburg High School and upon graduation attended the University of Florida where he received a bachelor of arts degree. While in college, Gordon started one of the first internet divisions in the state for a used car dealership.
After college, Gordon moved back home to Leesburg to manage his family’s chain of car dealerships. While in the car business, Gordon served as the used car manager, internet manager, and eventually the general manager. One of the primary functions of his job was to evaluate the price of all trade-ins and buy cars at auction for resale. Despite great success in the car business, Gordon felt compelled to continue his education. In 2008, Gordon accepted a fellowship at the University of Central Florida College of Business where received an MBA.
After business school Gordon moved to St. Petersburg where he attended Stetson University College of Law. Gordon also served as a law clerk for the City of St. Petersburg and judicial intern for the Honorable Nick Nazaretian in the thirteen judicial circuit, Hillsborough County. After graduation Gordon accepted a position with the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office, where he also interned during law school. During that time, Gordon litigated thousands of cases ranging from Misdemeanors to Attempted Murder, brought numerous trials to verdict, and was selected to be Lead Trial Attorney for one of the Pinellas County County Court divisions. After leaving the State Attorney’s Office, Gordon accepted an associate position with the law firm of Banker Lopez Gassler, P.A., a firm that focused primarily on insurance defense. As an associate, Gordon handled all aspects of civil litigation, including trials, motions, and depositions on behalf of his clients, which were primarily major insurance carriers. During his time at Banker Lopez Gassler, P.A., Mr. Oldham litigated diminished value claims on behalf of major insurance carriers and other issues involving vehicle property value.
After his tenure at Banker Lopez Gassler, P.A., Gordon decided to hang his own shingle. Gordon started his firm so that he could focus his attention on helping the underserved people of Tampa Bay. His goal was to offer reliable, affordable appraisal services to help the lay person gain a better understanding of the value of their vehicle, and empower them with objective data for their use in negotiations.
In spite of his successful legal career, Gordon remained an active partner in his family’s car dealership until 2018 when he divested himself to focus on vehicle appraisals. Since then, Gordon has dedicated his time and efforts to ensuring that clients of American Auto Appraisers receive comprehensive, effective appraisal and gain a firm understanding of the value of their vehicles.

Let our experience work for you! Central Florida Exports, the parent company of American Auto Appraisers, was chartered as a Florida corporation in May, 1980. It obtained a Florida automobile dealers license and began exporting vehicles. During the past twenty five years, Central Florida Rental & Lease Company and American Auto Appraisers have become subsidiaries of the original parent company.
Central Florida Exports has both retail and wholesale operations and handles financing for its preferred customers. American Auto Appraisers was designed to give “fair market value” to customers seeking such a service, using twenty five years of active market participation both here in the United States and abroad. - This report will include important identification numbers and helpful historical documents when available.
